Welcome to Day 2 of your Mindfulness and Meditation for Busy People.
Today we are going to expand the experience of mindfulness from the breath into the body. Here is your meditation.
Our bodies tends to be the boundaries of what we think as “I” or “me”. In some cases, like in the cases of families, relationships, nationalities, there can be permanent or temporary expansions of that personal definition of “me”, but for the most part, it is the body that we occupy what we define as the nominal “I”. It’s what we need to nourish, protect, care for and show off when we can. It’s the canvas in which we project all the stories that we make up.
The more precisely we can experience it, the better a relationship we will have with it, the more it will last us and the more we will be able to find the connections between our bodies and the way we are living our lives.
Tomorrow we will be moving from the physical matter to the physical sensations and we will observe how our mind relates it.
