I have been meditating and practicing different kinds of mindfulness and meditation for the last 8 years of my life. This practice, added to my entrepreneurial projects in entertainment and social change, has given me many tools and ideas on how productivity and mindfulness are tightly connected.
To be quite honest, meditation and mindfulness are connected to everything, as far as I am concerned. There is not a moment of the day that we are not using our minds, or in which thoughts are not rushing through our consciousness, and it is through meditation that I have been able to control those thoughts, instead of allowing them to control me.
After my 8 years of studying I have taken on teaching and guiding people with meditation. Teaching has now become what inspires and moves me. Some of the most beautiful moments I’ve had in the last several months have happened each time I have gotten to sit and guide someone into their own mind, helping them to learn how to keep control of their thoughts and to be actually present in the NOW.
I have also been fortunate enough to live in a town like New York City, where, among all the rush, craziness and competition, it is actually very easy to find authentic teachings on how to take control of our own lives, from the Buddhist community, from the corporate community, from the Hindu community and from the scientific community.
Now, after almost a year teaching, I have found that there are many people looking for a place to learn, for a space to learn how to make their mind work in their favor, to become more productive, to become better professionals, better friends, better partners, but they don’t find something that is “convenient”. So I decided to create OurBusyMinds.com to make it convenient for people to learn, to make it convenient for them to find real substantial techniques and guides on deepening their existence.
My hope for this website, and for the many articles and posts that we will share in the future, is that it will become a space where You can come and learn, away from the worlds and your own judgment, where your mind expands and You learn to become the best version of yourself. We want You to ask questions, and we are committed to finding the closest thing to a correct answer that we can, so don’t hesitate to email me at javier (at) ourbusyminds.com.
Keep improving every day, one thought at a time.
